At Chamonix Vertical I had the feeling of being in good hands at all times. Especially I liked the warm atmosphere in every contact, in the e-mails as well as at the phone. It was a great experience to be guided by Pawel. He created such a warm and relaxed atmosphere, that we felt like being on a trip with a friend. Still he conveyed so much confidence and security, that we weren’t even a bit nervous about doing some mixed climbing routes, which we wouldn’t have felt able to do in the beginning. So these two days in Chamonix with Pawel led to a considerable growth of our self-confidence in our alpine skills, for which we are really grateful. Just to let you know that Stephan was a great mountain leader for our trip last weekend. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable and flexible throughout. Despite the fact that the weather conspired against us particularly on the middle day of the three on the glacier, he still ensured that we got the most out of our time, and he worked really hard to make sure we still enjoyed our experience and gained a practical insight to alpine skills and the environment. I would have no problem recommending him to any prospective clients of Chamonix Vertical.

Pawel is fantastic guide. He can always find good snow and safe but challenging passages. He doesn’t take unnecessary risks and still can find extreme routes. Es war eine schöne Woche und Laszlo war ein toller Guide. Die beiden Grat-Klettertouren waren super und ich habe mich bei ihm sicher und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Er hatte auch noch jede Menge Vorschläge für Touren, die sehr reizvoll sind… schade, dass Chamonix so weit weg ist. Aber ich werde sicher wieder kommen 🙂 Christa Hackner
At the beginning of May this year I went to Chamonix to do the Valle Blanche. It was my first time on ski tours as I am mainly a skier of prepared slopes. The switch to ski tours was a hardship as – being extremely stubborn- I decided to take my racing boots with flex 120. My guide was Paweł Kunachowicz. I suppose he had the worst time ever with me, falling dawn almost all the time and not listening carefully to his instructions etc. He was close to calling for rescue team many times, we both used a lot! 😃of bad language and shouted at each other. I do climbing and skiing for more than 20 year so being in the mountains is not a novelty for me. And yet Paweł had the nerve and power to get me trough VB, and I felt absolutely safe with him. He took my heavy skis while climbing the ladders to Montenvers, mobilizing all the the time to go up. He has unbelievable strength, a he’s a type of guy who would never let you to give up. If I had to repeat the ordeal I would only choose Paweł, cause I know that one can depend on him in all conditions. I don’t regret a single second of spending time with him. Pawel Kunachowicz you’re the best !!! And besides all, he was a great companion during the goodby dinner in Chamonix and he wasn’t angry at all for the hell I gave him. Never hesitate to take him as a guide !!! Thanks 🙏 for everything Paweł 😊

I went on a 3 day guiding trip with Pawel in the Chamonix area in February 2016. Our party was a mixture of advanced free ride skiers and we asked Pawel to provide us with a variety of challenging experiences from the region.Pawel was able to keep us entertained with routes that covered large parts of the ski area and even incorporated a fantastic trip to Courmayeur in Italy to get the best of the snow conditions for that particular day. We skied in a variety of snow types and visibility but always managed to find the best that was on offer and most importantly always felt that Pawel was completely in control of our route and our safety.I found Pawel to be a very knowledgeable and personable guide and would definitely recommend him.

Tuvimos una experiencia inolvidable con una formación previa por vuestra parte en nuestro domicilio el día antes y con la prestación de todos los equipos necesarios de seguridad: grampones, arva, arnés, sonda, pala…explicaciones de todo lo que representa una expedición de este tipo como la Vallee Blanche. El día que realizamos la expedición, fue un día maravilloso, con una metereologia excepcional, como ya había previsto CHAMONIXVERTICAL. Eramos un grupo de 5 mas Stephan y pudimos tener una experiencia inolvidable, recibiendo explicaciones en todo momento y sintiéndonos seguros todo el tiempo.
